The Mad Slap Tones played for a great cause in December at Whiskey & Virtue in Morristown, NJ. The band played to raise money and awareness of an organization called Project 8P. This organizations helps those with a rare 8p chromosome disorder (one of our band members has a daughet with this rare disorder).
Project 8p focuses on:
- research
- treatment
- community connection
This event was made possible by The North Jersey Blues Society (we are members of this organization that supports blues music.
We played a lot of fun rock, rhythm and blues music for the crowd -- from Brian Setzer, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Ray Charles, Carl Perkins, Link Wray and more. We had them interacting and singing along.
Here's a video recorded from the board of "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On.
