Super Hot "Route 66" on a Super Hot Day: Memories from the Vintage Band on the Road

Writer: Big Bad WolfBig Bad Wolf

Here in NJ, it's starting to get cold outside -- however The Mad Slap Tones band stays hot. Here's a recording of Route 66 from the board of when we performed at the Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange, NJ on a SUPER HOT day!

The zoo is visited by thousands per day, and we were lucky enough to play a handful of times on that super cool outdoor stage that they have. It was such a fun, family-friendly time that we had there playing two sets of vintage rock, rhythm and blues. From this song by the great Nat King Cole, to others by Jerry Lee Lewis, Brian Setzer/Stray Cats, Chuck Berry, and many, many more.

We can't wait until it's warm again and we're outside playing for festivals, special events, music venues, and restaurants/bars, etc. If you're interested in booking our super cool band to play vintage music, contact madslaptones@gmail.com.
